Matsukaze is a Noh play about the ghosts of two sisters Matsukaze and Murasame who haunt their island home where they died pining for their lost love. The poetry is gorgeous. I used this style to illustrate Kasane, another Japanese story, but I originated it to illustrate Matsukaze months before. I decided I should finally use it for its original purpose. A mix of a mask concept I originated to use for my play Chunhyang and the Noh mask.
